Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business
-
A service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) is a small business that is 51% unconditionally owned and controlled by a service-disabled veteran.
The federal government aims to award at least 3% of all federal contracting dollars to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) each year.
Competition is limited for certain federal contract opportunities to businesses that participate in the SDVOSB program.

Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) are a part of a federal set-aside category that make them a priority vendor for government agencies.
By law, government agencies must attribute a certain percentage of their purchasing from federal set-asides. Agencies are also incentivized to buy from set-asides by a rating system.
Partnering with an SDVOSB:
-Grants you access to the federal marketplace, or “SAM”
-Gives you access to procurement staff, experienced project managers and more
-Drastically increases your chances of winning contracts
-Reduces competition
